Where is the creek: Frankopanska street Not that long ago, at the beginning of the 19th century, Tuškanac Creek streamed through Frankopanska Street. A road went by the creek, weaving between the fields towards the boroughs by the river Sava. Today, Frankopanska is one of the most frequent streets in Zagreb. In the first half of the 19th century, the road between Ilica and the Sava river was called Savska Street, but in 1845. Frankopanska Street was named after one of the most powerful Croatian noble families. It’s not well known that Frankopanska Street used to have most hotels and inns in Zagreb: "Rijeka", "Slovenac", "Imperijal" and "Dalmacija". The most famous mark of Frankopanska Street today is the Drama Theatre "Gavella" nicknamed as "Small Theatre" by the people of Zagreb. show next
